Schmitt's legislative aide/spokesperson Scott McMahon most recently called his home East Northport (Long Island Press, July 8, 2004). One need not be a cartographer to place East Northport in Suffolk County.

According to the story, Schmitt admits "When he came to work for the legislative minority... he didn't exist in Nassau County."
