Curiouser and Curiouser

Flipping through the Hicksville Illustrated News we came across "From the Desk of Legislator Edward Mangano" where he says "Legislator Edward P. Mangano (R- Bethpage) recently provided the vote necessary to approve bonding for a compromise $161 million Capital Projects Plan." At first glance it looks like Mangano was the lynch-pin to the whole deal. But wait one gosh-darned second. Schmitt says in his press release "Minority Leader Peter J. Schmitt (R-Massapequa) provided the vote necessary to approve bonding for a compromise $161 million dollar Capital Projects Plan Wednesday morning." Ahh.. Schmitt was the lynch-pin... what? There's another one? "Legislator Denise Ford (R-Long Beach) provided the vote necessary to approve bonding for a compromise $161 million dollar Capital Projects Plan Wednesday morning." Well, it looks like there was some sort of dead-lock and three legislators came through.... hold on here... hmmm.... "Legislator Dennis Dunne, Sr. (R-Levittown) provided the vote necessary to approve bonding for a compromise $161 million dollar Capital Projects Plan Wednesday morning."
Seems that Ed "$80,000/year part-time" Ward is doing a bang-up job with press releases again.
Why did Schmitt give Ward a 14% raise last year? To write one press release and cut and paste names.
